Railway stamps in Belgium
Every year, during the first weekend of October, presales for a new series of raliway stamps begin in Belgium.
This year too, the first stamps of the new series are again available in the district saloon of the station of Brussels-South. This time, it’ was fairly easy to come up with a theme for the stamps ; the series is involved in the tenth anniversary of King Albert II’s accession. Thus, the stamps show images of the Royal Trains. The release contains two squares, one of which shows the trains ‘Leopold II’ and ‘Albert I’ while the other shows the trains ‘Leopold II’ and ‘Boudewijn I’. The squares, which together cost 9 euros, will be available in a special cover.
