Three Yokohama Rarities Found in Dusty Drawer
Sometimes fairytales become reality. The most recent edition of Linn's Stamp News features a fine example of such a fairytale under the title "Three Yokohama Rarities Found in Dusty Drawer".
Three rare postal items were found when an antique dealer opened a dusty drawer. Because he's not a philatelist and hasn't got the philatelic knowledge, the dealer decided to scan the items and to offer them on the internet auction Ebay. To his own surprise, the lot yielded a total of 24161 dollar. Hereunder one of the three discoveries: an 1873 registered letter with the rare oval Yokohama register stamp. So far, only three envelopes with this stamp were found.
